Get ready to have your heartstrings tugged and your ears delighted, because Gladie is back with a bang! After dropping the critically acclaimed single 'Car Alarm,' produced by the legendary Jeff Rosenstock, the band has just announced their upcoming album, No Need To Be Lonely, set to release on March 20 via Get Better Records. But here's where it gets even more exciting: the album not only features 'Car Alarm' but also introduces the raw, high-energy track 'Future Spring,' a song that vocalist Augusta Koch describes as a heartfelt exploration of loneliness and the cruelty of the modern world. Augusta’s powerful voice soars as she questions how external pressures can diminish our sense of self, urging us to be kinder to ourselves and others. And this is the part most people miss—it’s a call to action wrapped in a punk anthem. No Need To Be Lonely was masterfully produced by Rosenstock and engineered by his collaborator Jack Shirley, ensuring every note hits home.
But wait, there’s more! Gladie isn’t just stopping at a new album—they’re hitting the road. In March and April, they’ll be touring the West Coast with Saintseneca, followed by an East Coast run with Noun, the band fronted by Screaming Females’ Marissa Paternoster. Controversial opinion alert: Could this tour lineup be the indie-punk collaboration of the year? We think so. Highlights include stops at Kingston, NY’s Tubby’s on May 7 and Ridgewood, NY’s TV Eye on May 8.
