Galaxy Watch 7 February 2026 Update: What's New? (2026)

Samsung has just unleashed a fresh software update for the Galaxy Watch 7, but there's a twist! This update brings the February 2026 security patch, addressing a whopping 37 security vulnerabilities. But here's the catch: Samsung is rolling it out exclusively in South Korea, at least for now.

The update, weighing in at 390.13MB, carries the firmware version L310XXU2BZB1. Interestingly, Samsung's security update strategy differs for its smartphones and smartwatches. While Galaxy smartphones enjoy monthly security patches, Galaxy Watch models typically receive updates every two to three months.

The Galaxy Watch 7 has been operating on the November 2025 security patch until this latest update. Samsung has already detailed the March 2026 security patch, but surprisingly, the company is providing the February patch to the smartwatch.

And this is where it gets intriguing: Samsung's decision to release an older security patch instead of the latest one raises questions. Could it be a strategic move to test the waters with a smaller rollout? Or is there another reason behind this choice?

We anticipate Samsung to expand the update's availability to other countries soon. To grab the update, simply navigate to Watch settings > Watch software update and initiate the download and installation process.

Stay tuned as we keep you updated on Samsung's software releases and the ongoing security patch saga. And don't forget to share your thoughts on this update strategy in the comments below! Is Samsung's approach to smartwatch updates sufficient, or do you think they should align more closely with their smartphone update frequency?
